Joe’s Crab Shack offers a variety of favorites from all parts of the sea and shore. We got there early and they still let us in while kitchen was getting ready because it was hot outside. We got our drinks and ordered our appetizer then ordered our meals. Everything was pretty quick.

My group had reservations for the patio. When we arrived we were seated inside based on the restaurants opinion of it being hot. Which, we knew it was hot but our choice was to be seated outside. The waiter told us we could go outside after we ate. I discussed with the waiter (Caleb) that we would go out and enjoy patio and order more drinks and appetizers. After eating the unseasoned food, my group went outside to the patio. Most ordered more drinks before going outside. Once, outside: Caleb the same waiter I talked to about going outside (also the same waiter that talked us into being seated inside) approached us rudely telling us we HAD to buy appetizers and drinks in order to be seated outside. Some of the couples ordered more drinks and appetizers outside after already eating full entree’s inside. One, of the drinks was supposed to be a pins-colada, but came out as a drink with strawberries and the whip topping was curdled and very spoiled looking. He blamed the message on management. However, when Jennifer one of the managers came out and claimed she was unaware of anyone sending him with that message. There was a group of 8 with my party, which were for a few anniversaries. Which was noted on the reservation and the restaurant never addressed. Our time to celebrate our anniversary was tainted with disrespect. I will never go to A Joe’s Crab Shack again. They should’ve granted our wish in the reservation to be seated outside as requested and not demand that we buy additional appetizers and drinks. Especially, when I discussed it prior with the same waiter that came outside a demanding that we couldn’t be seated outside. He should’ve stated that when he told us that we could go outside after we ate. This was so confusing and disappointing. Jennifer gave us cards to get free appetizers, which we gave to another group that Caleb told couldn’t be seated outside. Not sure why. Horrible experience and we will not return. Horrible Anniversary

Seems like they were not prepared for the crowds that Forrest Frank brought. We waited 30 mins to get drinks. We had the absolute best waitress, Shelby though!

We were visiting from New York and made a last minute reservation here before we walked to the Big Four Railroad Bridge. It was a fun atmosphere with friendly and fast service. The views were fabulous and so was the food.

Crab legs and fish combo was not good at all. My husband couldn’t even get the meat out of the crab legs. My steak was supposed to be medium and it was well done. Green beans were hard. Just overall disappointed in the food. Server was sweet and very kind!
