- RRichardGoldLondon •15 reviews5.0Dined on 4 Jul 2026Dinner here was the best in our whole week in Northumberland (and that includes dinner at the swanky Langley Castle Hotel). I had a special- sea bream with parmentier potatoes and green cabbage. Odd eh? Cabbage and fish? It was sensational with the fillet lain gently on a bed of perfectly cooked cabbage. My companion opted for the (30 minute wait while we cook it) steak and ale pie. Now he's fussy but reckoned he'd not had a better pie. Ever. The food was served piping hot (more than can be said for the swanky hotel) and looking appetising. Oh, and by the way, breakfast was a dream. All hot food cooked to order and served piping hot (again) on hot plates.More infoThe Granby Inn££££• British• Morpeth•4.8
